Something old, something New Orleans

A couple of weeks ago,  I was able to take off a whole week before Christmas from my current assignment to enjoy the holiday season.  My final destination was Greensboro, NC to visit family, but I figured on my way from Los Angeles, I’d make a stop in a city I have yet to visit, New Orleans, Louisiana.

Here are some sites of my experience below:

First order of business: The World Famous Cafe Du Monde beignets were too delicious!! Worth every calorie.

The next day, I ventured to the swamplands 30 minutes outside the city…

A visitor along the way.
Gorgeous view from the boat as we floated down the swamp.

Then, there was the New Orleans Museum

Some works from the late Barkley L. Hendricks
And at night, the city really comes alive with impromptu jazz music from local artists:

I had a really great weekend in this magical city, I truly can’t wait to return.

Bourbon Street at night.
